You may have missed Giving Day, but you can still give!
College of Education

Troy University has a long-standing tradition of delivering exceptional education, dating back to its establishment on February 26th, 1887. Initially known as Troy Normal School, its primary objective was to train teachers for Alabama’s schools. Although the mission of Troy University and the College of Education has expanded to include programs such as Counseling, Rehabilitation, Interpreter Training, Psychology, and Leadership Development, the College of Education has remained committed to preparing professionals to be informed, innovative practitioners. For that reason, the College of Education has earned a noteworthy reputation within the educational community, within our state and beyond.

Please consider making a 2023 Giving Day donation of any amount to one of the following important funds for the College of Education:

  • The College of Education Fund – Gifts to the College of Education Fund for Excellence support the core of the College’s mission by providing scholarships, student enrichment, curricular and teaching innovations, faculty support, and technology to help our students become the best in their fields.
  • Leadership Development Fund– The purpose of this fund is to provide support for the College of Education’s Institute for Leadership Development.  This Institute conducts leadership conferences for our students and others around the state of Alabama, as well as, supports students with a minor in Leadership.  Troy University student leadership organizations also receive support from the Institute.
  • The College of Education Study Abroad Scholarship Fund – This fund assists College of Education students in their pursuit to study abroad. The College of Education (COE) International programs strive to provide students with strategic growth, expansion of international engagement, and mobility through study abroad experiences. The College of Education works collaboratively with various university units who are engaged in international education to increase the number of COE students who study abroad.

We could not achieve our mission, without the help of our supporters. Your contributions make certain undergraduate and graduate students have access to the financial resources, facilities, equipment and top-rated faculty to become leaders in their fields for their communities, our state and our nation. Your gifts ensure that the tradition of excellence known in the College of Education continues, as we prepare the educators, administrators, counselors, interpreters, and other professionals of tomorrow.

Dean’s Leadership Circle

Leadership giving within the College of Education plays a dynamic and vital role in providing annual support to the College. Newly established, the Dean’s Leadership Circle recognizes those who give a minimum total of $1,000 or more annually to any fund(s) within the College of Education.  Contributions throughout each calendar year are counted towards recognition and smaller contributions can be given quarterly or monthly to reach the minimum.
